About the band.

In autumn 2025, CALL OF CHARON will release their long-awaited new album Tales of Tragedy via Massacre Records. Expectations from fans and press alike are high, especially after the band impressed across the board with their last full-length release and their 2022 EP The Sound of Sorrow.

The Nuclear Blast Magazine wrote that “the international competition better watch out”, while the online zine Metal Temple even named Plaguebearer a contender for Album of the Year. Legacy Magazine, in its review of the EP, concluded that “the band’s musical level is untouchable.”

Over the past two years, CALL OF CHARON have successfully toured both Germany and mainland Europe, appeared at renowned festivals such as Wacken Open Air and Dong Open Air, and served as support for scene heavyweights like Napalm Death and Unearth. Having played more than 200 shows across Europe, the band is now gearing up for an intense new touring cycle in the coming years.

Now on their seventh official release, CALL OF CHARON are solidifying their reputation as one of the most promising modern metal acts to emerge from Germany — as Metal Temple called them: “a beacon of hope for the genre.”
